Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Israel’s military has carried out multiple strikes on Hezbollah-linked targets in Lebanon, according to a recent post on X. The military reported hitting 10 sites in southern Lebanon, including a weapons storage facility, terror infrastructure, military structures, and a launcher. These strikes resulted in the death of one Hezbollah fighter.

The strikes came in response to a rocket attack that hit a playground in Majdal Shams, a Druze Arab town in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Although Hezbollah denied involvement in the rocket strike, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised a severe response during his visit to the town.

Hezbollah has pledged to retaliate against any Israeli aggression, including a ground invasion, according to a high-ranking source quoted by Al Jazeera. This is the first time Hezbollah has publicly responded to Israel’s threats of retaliation. While tensions rise, Israeli officials have expressed a desire to avoid a broader regional conflict.
